Classically trained viola player Anni Rossi has just the right mix of idiosyncratic and gifted, of kookie and touched. The Chicagoan singer and musician notably covered Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ recently, a millstone for the band themselves for many years, and Rossi’s own albatross – the predictable and unimaginitive comparisons with Joanna Newsom – should be dispelled once and for all when she performs her beguiling music at Concrete and Glass.
