Sometimes the best music is the most simplistic, as demonstrated by great punk bands all the way back to the Ramones. Screaming Tea Party continue this righteous linage by mixing aural noise with the sweetest melodies. So great are they in fact, that NME says they are cooler than the Velvets. “They pack in snippets of every record you’ve ever owned,” adds Dazed and Confused, “and sound like a sloppy first kiss that precedes a punch in the teeth, without sounding dated or cliched.”
